DONUT be salty: Krispy Kreme’s donut features salted caramel goodness that you’ll surely love

It’ll (Almond) ROCA your world!

Salted caramel is one of the best things that was introduced in the food scene. Or at least that’s what I think. One, the saltiness adds a depth of flavor to the caramel, and two, it’s better than those one-dimensional flavors that fall flat. And I admittedly do like complex flavors. It’s whimsical good fun!

Just recently Krispy Kreme launched their newest flavor: a Ring-Filled Salted Caramel Doughnut with Almond Roca. And I am stoked!

This limited-edition donut features a dark chocolate-glazed donut filled with rich salted caramel in the middle. Plus, it even comes with whipped cream blossoms on top, and a sprinkle of crushed Almond Roca.

Yes, it may sound like a mouthful, but for me, each element just works so well together. Bite into fluffy, chocolatey dough, and salty-sweet caramel fills your mouth. And just when you think things get too sweet, the cream offsets everything.

Honestly though, the Almond Roca was negligible (probably since they’re small and melted away), but all these flavors in a soft, fluffy donut that Krispy Kreme is known for? So, so indulgent. (Though admittedly, you need to exercise caution while eating this because it’s so easy to get addicted to them)

This limited-edition donut goes for ₱55 each, and can be found in all Kris py Kreme branches from August 7 to October 7, 2020. I say, donut let this chance slip by— especially if you have a massive sweet tooth like me!

Thanks for sending this over!
